Clinically applied physics. Frequencies, wave lengthens, amplitude. what is sound wave? Range equation, Doppler shift equation. with clear and strong correlation between these concepts and general day to day life.
Lecture 2:
Echocardiography views with correlation to the cardiac anatomy and how the view is sliced and Aquiered.
Lecture 3:
Haemodynamics: full understanding of Peak velocity, PPG, MPG, VTI, PHT. stroke volume, and full detailed explanation of the continuity equation to c alculate the aortic valve area.
Lecture 4:
Using Haemodynamics to diagnose steno tic lesions and possible pitfalls that may render calculations inaccurate, as pitfalls related to the sonographer technique and pitfalls related to the patients various clinical conditions.
Lecture 5:
How Doppler equation is encoded to colour, and how this colour is interpreted.
Lecture 6:
Assessment of regurgitation lesions using trace method, venacontracta. full step by step comprehensive explanation of the PISA method.
lecture 7:
concept of M.mode. how it works, correlate between how m.mode work, pathology and the final trace.
Lecture Assessment of systolic function using M.mode, Simpsons method, Doppler , tissue Doppler.
Lecture 9:
Assessment of Adult congenial heart diseases including ASD, VSD, PDA.
lecture 10:
miscellaneous disease: Aortic diseases as bicusped aortic valve and dissection, pericardial effusion, pulmonary hypertension, IHD, Intra cardiac masses, prosthetic valves and diastolic dysfunction.
lecture 11)
recent advances in echocardiography, artifacts: full understanding of side lobe artifacts, near field clutter and reverberations.
